“Anneis!”
“Kicklyn?”
“Anneis!!”
Before he knew what was happening, Anneis was on the ground, staring up at the girl who met his eyes excitedly.
“K…Kicklyn…”
“Hey!” The girl grinned, sitting on his chest.
“Um… can you get off of me…?”
“What? Oh.” Kicklyn quickly got off Anneis and held out her hand. Anneis took it and stood up.
“Kicklyn… Hey… How are you…?”
“I’m great! And you?”
“Oh… Same… I’m great… Now we’ve finally found each other…”
“I missed you!” Kicklyn cried.
“I missed you, too, Kicklyn…”
“Yay…”
“Kicklyn…”
“Anneis, I’m so glad you’re here…”
"Me, too."
“How did you find me?” Kicklyn asked softly.
“You found me…”
“Well, then pretend you found me.”
“Okay… then I found you because I couldn’t stay away.”
“Uh-huh…” Kicklyn murmured, her eyes not leaving Anneis'' for a second.
“And I’m good at finding people I miss…”
“Yeah…”
“And I miss people who are really important to me…”
“Yes…?”
“And I found you.”
“Anneis…”
“So it’s only logical to say that…”
“Yes?” Kicklyn looked up at him, watching his eyes.
“You’re important to me, Kicklyn. I love you.”
“Oh, Anneis…” Kicklyn leaned forward.
“Umm…” Ellouette stood in the backround, a skeptical look on her face.
“E-Ellouette?” Kicklyn looked wildly around, spotting Ellouette standing behind her. “Wah!” she cried, jumping back and falling out of her chair.
Ellouette sighed. “Kicklyn…”
“Wh-what?” Kicklyn asked, getting up, her face tinted pink.
“You’re dreaming again?”
“N-no! Of course not. Why would I be dreaming?”
“All you do is stay here in your room dreaming. You’re going to leave a mark in the floor from all the times you’ve fallen off your chair.”
Kicklyn looked away, annoyed. “So… so what’s your point?”
Ellouette sighed. “You’re dreaming about him too much. We’ll catch up to him eventually.”
“I know… Eventually…” Kicklyn looked at the ground. “But we still haven’t yet, and every moment… every second we’re not with him, it’s agonizing! He could be hurt, or worse, dead, lying in a street somewhere, near-death, and…”
Ellouette just looked at her. “You’re so silly…” she said.
Kicklyn looked up. “‘Silly’? How am I silly?”
“You have the most wild imagination…” Ellouette said, her voice simple.
“You’re… so…” Kicklyn looked at her, irritated.
“And you get irritated so easily. I haven’t even done anything to upset you, and yet you have an annoyed expression ’cross your face. It really is interesting to watch your behavior patterns.”
“Nerd.”
“Dumbbell.”
“Dork.”
“Ignoramus.”
“Does that mean ‘someone who doesn’t know what “ignoramus” means’?” asked Kicklyn.
“What are you talking about…?” Ellouette looked at her, raising her chin.
“What does ‘ignoramus’ mean?”
“I would think everyone would know what that means by now, by its recent useage rate. Everyone is using it now, on television, et cetera, you’d think someone would have the decency to look it up by now…”
“Okay, now, what are you talking about?”
“Nothing you’d understand, nothing I’d care to explain.”
“Okay… well, anyway…”
“Anyway…”
“Anyway, someday I’m going to invent a word that means ‘someone who doesn’t know what said word means’. Or something of the like. It’ll be great.”
“You really are a dreamer, aren’t you? Strange, strange…” Ellouette turned.
“You just wait! I’m gonna come up with a word that no one will know the meaning of, and yet everyone will use! It’s gonna be the most awesomenest word ever, and nobody will be the wiser!”
“Yes… quite… Do you even know what ‘nobody will be the wiser’ means?”
“Um…”
“Yes, that’s what I thought…” Ellouette wrote something on a clipboard and left.
“Wh-what is this, some kinda test?!” Kicklyn shouted after her. “What are you writing?! Come back here!! WHAT DOES IGNORAMUS MEAN?!”
Kicklyn sat, panting, on the ground, staring angrily at the door.
“You really are an ignoramus, aren’t you…?” came Ellouette’s voice, floating into the room.
“RRAAAAAAGGGHHH!!!!” Kicklyn screamed.
